Matt McCann, LMHC

Matt McCann is a licensed mental health counselor with extensive expertise in treating OCD especially with individuals on the autism spectrum. His approach has led to profound success in helping these clients, and his guidance is deeply valued by both patients and their families. Matt treats both children and adults struggling wtih OCD and anxiety disorders. His work with anxiety disorders includes generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, specific phobias, and social anxiety. Matt’s ability to connect with and positively impact his clients makes him a trusted resource for those in need of specialized care and support.

Matt received specialized training from leading experts in OCD and anxiety disorders at Rogers Behavioral Health in Tampa. Since 2014, he has effectively treated some of the most complex and debilitating cases, helping individuals reclaim their lives from the grip of OCD and anxiety. As a co-leader of the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Rogers, Matt provided intensive support for individuals facing both OCD and depression. 

He earned his Master of Science in Art Therapy from Springfield College in 2010. After graduation, Matt began his career as an in-home therapist at Directions for Living in Pinellas County, working with high-risk youth. His focus was on children affected by severe trauma, PTSD, and difficult family dynamics—advocating to ensure they received the care they needed.

Known for his patience and compassion, Matt believes in tailoring therapy to each individual. He rejects a “one size fits all” approach and instead collaborates closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals.

Matt is a member of the International OCD Foundation.
